In 2005 Jet approached astley as their nominated signage contractor and has since worked on over 300 sites. Having had previous experience of working on a roll out of 50 sites there was peace of mind they could trust astley provide a full service package. Jet’s main requirement was to re-image all of their existing sites, this required a varied level of service including:
• New builds - full new signage scheme working with architects & construction companies.
• Refurbishing existing sites - utilising any components possible to bring the image up to date.
• Maintenance - a full reactive package including same day call outs to faults & a 24hr help desk.
Also appreciating the long term advantages of energy and maintenance savings associated with modern LED installation, astley was instructed to convert Jet’s entire Totem range from pricing tiles to LED displays, requiring over 400 sites to be completed in 6 month.

We go that bit further with custom prototyping, conceptual design and implementation
In 2018 we were asked to help develop a new style of forecourt for Jet UK market. Using our superb in-house design team we set about researching and conceptualising possible approaches for styling of the forecourts that would push Jet forward in the UK market.
But we didn’t stop there! Having access to a fully equipped production facility meant that we were also able to construct a mini prototype for the client to visit in Gateshead which demonstrated the quality of all the proposed product and finishes. This allowed Jet the opportunity to inspect our workmanship and review a scaled version of the proposed forecourt before production commenced.
.
Our PFS installation crews, surveyors and project managers each hold SPA documentation authorising them to work on live petrol forecourts.
Our engineers are trained in all areas of health and safety standards and carry IPAF certificates for working with access equipment such as scaffolding and moving platforms , SPA Safety Passports for working in or near hazardous locations such as fuel stations, special licenses for driving and operating HIAB trucks and cranes, PASMA for mobile access equipment and first aid qualifications.
We have a dedicated installation department which schedules and coordinates the timetable of our engineers. Installations are programmed to coincide with the completion of manufacture and crews are nominated ahead of the project deadline.

Here at astley, we are always working to identify new ways of providing that next level of service to support our clients.
One way we strive to do this, is through using the latest technologies to help boost the client’s experience.
An example of this, was when we developed an app to support Jet, which helped visualise their new brand application design for their forecourts. The AR app focused on the ability of bringing a project to life digitally, before physically manufacturing and installing a branded asset. The app not only helped us, but also helped the client gain a clear vision on exactly what the finished article was going to look like.

Astley are thrilled to have our design team support JET EV as they introduce new electric charging facilities that are shaping the forecourt of the future. New energy solutions for vehicle charging are beginning to flood the market and are opening the PFS sector up to new branding opportunities.
From new Ultra-rapid JET CHARGE points to new spacious shopping and retailtainment spaces, we are providing the careful and considerate design of branding assets that bring these new, modern forecourts to life.
